Providi
ng 24-hour care for a child
challenged by serious emotional disturbances and/or developmental
disabilities can
be exhausting.
Respite Services offers highly
individualized services designed for
children and youth (4-17)
challenged with serious emotional
disturbances and/or developmental
disabilities. Programming is flexible
and creative and offers day,
after-school and overnight opportunities
at
three Respite homes and
an
activity center and
pool.
Respite
Services offer flexible and
individualized scheduling weekday and
weekend, overnights and daytime blocks
of time, 24-hour/7days, year-round.
Nutritional meals and snacks are
included throughout structured day and
evening activities.
Respite staff represents a
variety of academic backgrounds and
professional experiences and are trained
to support children’s special physical
and medical needs including the
administering of medications as directed
by the parent and physician.
Community Living Support and
Training Programs (CLST) and CLST Summer
Program are offered to children and
youth (4-17) challenged with serious
em
otional disturbances and/or
developmental disabilities. Children
and youth participate individually or as
a group in structured activities,
gaining new skills and experience
through broad exposure to community
opportunities. Summer Program
participants are picked-up and
dropped-off at their home each day.
Morning, afternoon and evening sessions
are offered Monday through Friday during
June, July and August. Options for children participating in
CLST include: Individual
Mentorships, Sports, Junior Adventure,
Art Group, Music Group, Dance Group,
Bowling and Senior Adventure.
Schedules vary by individual’s
need and family preferences.
