Family & Children Services offers a variety of critical human services for residents of Calhoun and Kalamazoo counties that are delivered in clients’ homes, at three agency service sites and a variety of off-site locations.
The Foster Care and Adoption program focuses on providing safe foster and adoptive placements for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or family crisis.
The Counseling Center provides confidential counseling over a wide range of issues by professional staff, experienced in a variety of therapies.
Home and Community Intervention (HCI) and Families First empower individuals and families by offering parenting education and support, clinical assessments, crisis intervention and referral to community supports.
Respite & Community Living Support and Training (CLST) offer services for children and youth with a serious emotional disturbance and/or developmental disability. Social, life and community skills are developed and improved, while providing a break from caregiving responsibilities for the family.
Parenting Support helps provide the education, skills and support needed to face the challenges of parenting.
